11 years since the last one of the good cop buddy comedies that Sony Pictures produced, the company is reassuring that fans of the funny duo 'Bad Boys' will be seeing action in 2017. Current development on the project is still in talks but nevertheless, list of possible people involved declared.
The 'Bad Boys 3' is marking its return to the worldwide cinema in February 17, 2017. It was announced by Sony that the film will be included with the 16 films which are rostered of the company in 2017. After a long wait by the fans as the original landed on market 20 years ago, the third installment of the movie is surely in talks after Martin Lawrence and Will Smith continuously teased the audience for confirming if the new movie is in the way.
According to the Collider, in an interview with Zane Lowe in Beats 1 Radio, the charismatic actor, who played, Detective Lieutenant Mike Lowrey, stated the fans should be expecting the possiblity of new film within the next 12-16 months. That would be within the time frame of the announced release on February 2017. Moreover, according to Slashfilm, Martin Lawrence stated in 2014 that there have been talks with Jerry Bruckheimer, the director of Smokin' Aces (2006) and A-team (2010), and that the script is nearly finalized.
However, once again, the world will be waiting for Will Smith's verification. After rumours that Will Smith will not return for the upcoming film, the actor is likely to be a producer. The sidekick that the audience loved, Martin Lawrence, is believed to be confirmed as reported by International Business Times. More to this, development of the film is given emphasis with David Guggenheim writing the storyline of the sequel.
'Bad Boys 3' is the third instalment in the humorous police action film series about the dynamic duos, Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. The 'Bad Boys' films were successful in the market after the second one gathered $273 million but was met with negative critical reviews. Fans on the film should not worry about the hiatus as the film will be expected on February 17, 2017 with the development progressing while the fourth are in talks for a 2019 release.
