Nominees for the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards was finally released Thursday morning.
Among the nominees for TV's most recognized program, Starz's Outlander earned three nods, along with FX's Cargo, USA Network's Mr. Robot, Amazon's Transparent, ABC's American Crime, and BBC's Two's Wolf Hall.
First time Globe nominees are, "American Horror Story: Hotel" star, Lady Gaga, and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" star, Rachel Bloom.
The nominations for best drama series include Empire, Game of Thrones, Mr. Robot, Outlander, and Narcos.
Critics have initially released their Top 10 list prior to Golden Globe's release of nominees and Mr. Robot has been consistent on the list.
On the other hand, for comedy, the theory of Cory about streaming services for new comedies, among those who got validation are about four of the six nominees - Transparent, Casual, Mozart in the Jungle, and Orange Is the New Black - available only through Wi-Fi and Ethernet cables.
Of all the entities, Netflix got the biggest award with a total of eight (8) nominations, HBO got six (6), as well as STARZ.
It is during December that most recognized TV programs nominations are released. The NBC broadcast of Golden Globes will on January 10, 2016, Sunday and it shall be hosted by Ricky Gervais for the fifth time.
Last year's winner, "Showtime's The Affair," for drama did not make it anymore to this year's nomination.
For movies, The Martian" and "Carol" which were considered as early award giving bodies favorite, also made it in the Golden Globes nominations, along with "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "The Big Short." The romantic drama, "Carol", garnered five nominations, including drama and acting nods for Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, while the financial crisis dramedy, "The Big Short," the bloody western, "The Revenant", and the quasi-biopic, "Steve Jobs", followed with four nods each.
Others say that, "the credibility of the Globes is often questioned," Golden Globe remains to be "one of the wildest and most unpredictable shows on the awards-season calendar" that the majority look forward to.
