LG is set to release the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to more devices around the world. After opening the new update in Poland and Europe for LG G4 users, the rollout for LG G3, G Flex 2, and G Stylo in more places are expected to take place soon.
The rollout for several LG devices has begun in October when LG G4 users in Poland were the first batch to receive the new update. As reported by Yibada, the new Android Marshmallow release also reached LG G4 users in Korea and further in Europe in late November.
But with LG's continuous aggressiveness in releasing the new OS update to more units around the world ahead of the competition, International Business Times reported that LG teased about the imminent release of Android Marshmallow to LG G3 users.
Although specific details of the release are still under wraps, it is expected to take place anytime soon. The release for the new update is also expected to reach owners in Asia, Europe, and America before the year ends.
The new Android update will be 1GB zip archive and will reach more users of LG G4, G FLex 2, G3 and G Stylo around the world. LG Vice President and Head of Marketing Communications, Chris Yie, previously stated that the quick pace of the rollout was made possible through working close with Google.
"LG has been able to bring Android 6.0 to the G4 ahead of any of our competitors. While speed alone isn't an indicator of great service, it does go a long way toward giving consumers the confidence that LG is committed to its existing customers first.", Yie said as reported by Gospel Herald.
The release of the Anroid 6.0 Marshmallow update was previously put to a temporary suspension due to bugs detecting during testing. However, the update is now ready to reach more LG users around the world. More details about the rollout are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
