The rumor mill is hard at work once again as new speculation suggests that Google chose to partner with Huawei once again for a new Nexus 2016 flagship handset which could hit the shelves sometime in 2016. Specs rumors also claim that 2016's latest technology could be featured in the device.

Industry analyst and head of research at Shenzhen Huaqiang Electronics Research Insitute, Pan Jiutang suggested on Weibo that a new Nexus smartphone is upcoming from Google and Huawei. According to Tech Radar, Huawei's performance with the previous smartphone has paved the way for another partnership with Google.

While potential details on the new 2016 Nexus phone are still unknown, Pocket Now reported that it could be released with the most latest Snapdragon 820 as opted by Google, instead of Huawei's own Kirin chipset.

Furthermore, it is also rumored to feature the forthcoming Android 7.0 dubbed as Android N under the hood which could be the latest OS for next year. As reported by Know Your Mobile, there are multiple possibilities for the appearance and design of the new handset.

The new smartphone device could be released like another Nexus 6P which was also created by Huawei this year. Morever, it could also be a non-phablet sized device as well. Google has had different OEMs for different models and devices with Sony, Samsung, and LG part of the list.

However, Google has formed great partnership with LG which produced several devices for the internet-based company. With the renewal of Google and Huawei's partnership, speculations suggest that it could also be an indication with more collaborations in the future.

No other details are known about the Huawei Nexus 2016 although as of now, it is rumored to be unveiled sometime in July or September 2016. More details about the Huawei Nexus 2016 will be reported as they arrive.
