'Wonder Woman' is scheduled to be released on June 23, 2017. The film is set to be directed by Patty Jenkins. The DC Comics iconic female superhero will be played by Gal Gadot. Other announced stars to be expected on the film are Chris Pine, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, Saïd Taghmaoui, David Thewlis and Robin Wright.
As reported by Crossmap, Pine will play the role of Captain Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman's love interest as based on the comics. Though the characters of the other casts are yet to be announced. According also to Crossmap, filming of the movie already started as pictures on the set of the film have already been leaked and circulating the social media. People who have seen the leaked pictures speculates that there might be flashbacks in the movie. However, nothing affirmative is said about how the movie will turn out.
Wonder Woman like any superheroes has their alter egos and her counterpart is Princess Diana of the immortal Amazons from Greek mythology as stated from DC Comics. Drawing away from the "damsel-in-distress" type of woman, Diana shows that she is not only beauty but she also has strength to fight the evils of this world.
Comicbook has given possible settings the movie can circulate to. The film can be based on the published story of Wonder Woman in 2001 by DC Comics entitled the "Spirit of Truth" or on its original comic story back in 1942. But audience has to keep on guessing for awhile right now as they wait for the official statements from the producers of the film. Nevertheless, they can watch the superhero's first appearance on the big screen on the release of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" next year.
