John-David Duggar has now seen his former role-model, older brother Josh Duggar in a whole new light and he spoke up about how he feels about the things that have been exposed about him.
It seems like the revealing of Josh Duggar's secret life as someone who molested his younger sisters, as a sex addict who had multiple accounts on porn sites and as an adulterer who spent thousands of dollars on prostitutes is only the beginning of the domino effect on the widely known religious family, the Duggars. Issue after issue came pouring out, causing the long time running show of the family on TLC, 19 Kids and Counting to be cancelled. The whole family allowed the whole issue to die down a little bit before finally speaking up.
Now, the third Duggar, John-David, is the most recent Duggar to talk publicly. Star Pulse reported that the 25-year old reality TV star feels hurt, ashamed and disappointed with his older brother. He said that none of them had any idea about Josh's secret life.
John-David is not looking at Josh as his role model anymore. He shared to Gospel Herald that he used to look at Josh as his top influence in life. "It broke my heart. Whenever somebody you respect the most is willing to get up and proclaim what we believe as Christians, about being true to your wife, you'd never think that that's the person who's involved in it. I always wanted to be like him. But one of the toughest things I had to tell my older brother was, I don't want to be like you anymore."
However, looking from another perspective, John-David looks at this as an opportunity to step up and take Josh's place. In an article by Fashion and Trend, he says that he now knows that the responsibility is on him now; that he must lead his brothers and sisters and show them what a proper role model is like.
Josh Duggar is slowly reaping the consequences of his actions. He is rumored to have been going through divorce. As John-David Duggar is slowly taking his place as the role model of the Duggar kids, all of their supporters are sending them well wishes and are hoping that they will all get through this as a family.
