Bethesda has been asked of The Elder Scrolls VI for quite some time now, yet the company seems rather planted ever so firmly with their responses. That being said, the team behind one of the most successful games ever made, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, can almost make a living out of the resounding speculation that a new title is indeed to come forth.
According to Segment Next, some gamers believe that because of the undisputed success that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has garnered, Bethesda and the team will most likely follow it up with another hard-hitting title to keep the momentum going. There are those that predicted the possibility of a title within this year, but Bethesda was quick to deny the said claims.
Delivered by Master Herald, a few of the more unsupported rumors include the possibility of the game being released within the entirety of 2016, whereas the impossibility has proven more dominant since The Elder Scrolls Online is literally the focus of the franchise. Given the fact as well that The Elder Scrolls Online is doing rather remarkably, Bethesda does not see the unarguable point of an immediate successor.
Moreover, as noted by Christian Today, there are those that see a more likely and believable speculation-such as a release date set for at least 2017 or 2019 at the earliest. Some fans even bring up the fact that Bethesda has a time table of when to release and which one, wherein some gamers may be more inclined to having faith in. However, Bethesda says that they are not tolerating an annual release of titles, as it may lose the essence of excitement that makes a title worth waiting for.
The Elder Scrolls 6 or a possible Skyrim 2 as some may demand, is utterly a strong contender that will surely make Bethesda a heap load of money, but sadly, it will stay as an idea or even just a myth until the team says otherwise. For the time being, Fallout 4 will keep the loot rolling for Bethesda, as no announcements of development, let alone a release date has been made for The Elder Scrolls series.
