Arkane Studios' Dishonored 2 has been a hot topic for the longest time, especially after the first installment has proven itself to be a complete success. Some rumors have been surrounding the web recently regarding the probable delay in the game's release date, and with it, the development team does their best to clarify the issue.
As reported by Parent Herald, fans have been treated to a purely admirable start with Dishonored. Now that the proposal of a second title has been officially declared, the anticipation has levelled itself up one more time. The original plan that Arkane Studios has scheduled for the expansion was within Spring of 2016, but further rumors have circulated over and over, including a recent one that stated the game will actually be moved to a 2017 release.
As previously reported, Dishonored 2 was rumored to give itself a much later schedule in terms of launch, as to not go alongside other high-end games that are expected to launch around the same period. However, news of the title being available for pre-order somewhat proved otherwise; given that there is already a labeled price of $59.96 and those who are to do so will receive their copies as soon as the game ships on December 30, 2016.
Delivered by Yibada, that for one, can only mean that the game will still be arriving within 2016 as planned, instead of the more unjustified 2017 rumor. This is one attribute that still is yet to be addressed by Arkane Studios and Bethesda, so until word comes out of any amendments or delays, fans can rest assured that the game will still hit shelves when it is supposed to.
Dishonored 2 revolves around the two protagonists, Corvo Attano and the newly casted Emily Kaldwin. The title is still expected to arrive the stores within Spring of 2016, and without any other rumors to support the opposite, fans can remain calm and believe that their favored expansion is still on track.
