Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is now available to LG G4 smartphones via a custom ROM. Developers team, CyanogenMod, has beautifully crafted an unofficial version of the Marshmallow software, a sure hit for its polished performance that fare well with the official build.
LG G4 is lucky enough as CM 13, a custom ROM based on Marshmallow, has been made available by Cyanogen to the device. Primarily, the ROM almost has the same features with the official build or even better. It offers its native CM tweaks and customizations on top of Google's original features for the build.
Interested G4 owners are highly encouraged to check first the model number of their devices, as only select versions in the United States are qualified. Available versions are those of mobile carriers, unlocked versions and those in the European and Asian regions.
The unofficial Marshmallow software will solve issues on the dialer which crashes when calling a number, messaging, gallery, airplane mode, Bluetooth, NFC, the internet, camera, boot loop, 4G/LTE, 3G, and some other issues.
To install the upgrade, here's a few steps to do:
1. Back up all necessary files since flashing the ROM will wipe out all data.
2. Enable USB Debugging option on the device.

Before proceeding with the download, make sure to back up all necessary data, charge up phone and free enough storage to prevent interruption. Remember that this build is not yet final, which implies that there might still be issues like boot loops. If the device is stuck, go back to the stock firmware.
