Justin Bieber Performs at Indian Billionaire’s Pre-Wedding Event for Whopping $10 Million

Justin Bieber's bank account just got a massive boost, courtesy of the most affluent family in India.

Billionaire Anant Ambani and his fiancée Radhika Merchant have arranged for a slew of pop singers to play at their lavish wedding and pre-wedding festivities, with Bieber being the latest to go to Mumbai for a private performance.

Bieber made an appearance at a "sangeet" last Friday, July 5, which was a pre-wedding celebration for Ambani and Merchant. The Canadian singer earned $10 million for that one-night event, as reported by uInterview.

On Instagram, Bieber gave his followers a sneak peek at the event by posting phots of himself interacting with the soon-to-be newlyweds backstage. He also shared footage of his performance, which highlighted the audience's energy as they grooved to his songs.

This is not the first that the couple invited an A-lister for a performance. In March, they had another pre-wedding party, which was attended by Rihanna.

Ambani has been preparing for his wedding, set to take place from July 12 to 14. The whole event has been dubbed "the country's wedding of the year" by CNN. Given the wealth of the groom's family patriarch, it's hardly surprising that they're going to extreme lengths.

Anant Ambani is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, who's the wealthiest person in India. The current net worth of Mukesh, who serves as chairman of Reliance Industries, is $124 billion, according to Forbes.

Mukesh is not only the wealthiest man in India but also in Asia. Moreover, he's the 11th richest man in the world. All these are thanks to Reliance Industries, a family enterprise that is now controlled by its descendants. The corporation was established by Mukesh's father, Dhirubhai Ambani, back in 1958, as per Fortune.

On the other hand, the bride also comes from a wealthy family. Vogue said Radhika Merchant's father, Viren Merchant, is the CEO of the pharmaceutical company Encore Healthcare.
