Jared Leto bags Oscars' Best Supporting Actor, delivers amazing acceptance speech

Jared Leto, Best Supporting Actor for the 86th Academy Awards night, delivered a heartwarming speech. Apart from thanking who he needed to thank for getting the gold Oscars, Leto mentioned the struggling people in Ukraine and Venezuela, said a TimeEntertainment report. Leto also gave credit to his mom and gave a few backgrounds on how life used to be for his mother.

In his Oscars’ 2014 acceptance speech, Leto said, “In 1971, in Bossier City Louisiana, there was a teenage girl who was pregnant with her second child. She was a high school dropout and a single mom, but somehow she managed to make a better life for herself and her children. She encouraged here kids to be creative and work hard and do something special. That girl was my mother and she’s here tonight. I just want to say ‘I love you mom, thank you for teaching me to dream.” Aside from his mother, Leto also gave one big thanks to his brother Shanon, whom he referred to as a true artist and his bestfriend.

Leto won the award for his role in the movie Dallas Buyers Club were he played an HIV positive transgender woman.
