Matthew McConaughey wins Oscars Best Actor award, shows gratitude to God in speech

There were a total of four nominees for the Best Actor Award during the 86th Academy Awards. This include Christian Bale for American Hustle, Chiwetel Ejiofor for 12 Years a Slave, Bruce Dern for Nebraska, Leonardo DiCaprio for The Wolf of Wall Street and Matthew McConaughey for Dallas Buyers Club. Among the six nominees, McConaughey bagged the award which surprised Oscars' viewers, reported TheBlaze.

McConaughey delivered a heartwarming speech, giving credit to his late father Jim. He also thanked God in his victory that led him to bringing home the Oscars. In his speech he said, "First off, I want to thank God because that's who I look up,' he said. He's graced my life with opportunities that I know are not of my hand or of any other hand. He's shown me that it's a scientific fact that gratitude reciprocates."

The actor's expounded thanks to The Almighty received all kinds of reactions from viewers.
