Austin Russell was killed today on Twitter after #RIPchumlee went viral. However, Chumlee, the dude you see on the hit TV show Pawn Stars, is alive and well. Chumlee has not been the only one suffering from hoax deaths on the internet.
The Pawn Stars talent tweeted in response to the hoax news on his death on Wednesday, “May we live long, Rich forever.” This was after people started to send out sympathetic messages on social media.
The rumored death came out after a story was published on EBuzzd saying that the 31 year old Chumlee died due to a heart attack. The story was later recanted reported The Kansas City Star.
Rick Harrison, Chumlee’s boss, also tweeted about the wrong report saying, “[he is at the] best health of his life.” Harrison also tweeted on Wednesday, “"Breaking news: CHUMLEE IS ALIVE & WELL! He is actually filming today but we all really appreciate everyone's concern!"
