Amid search and rescue operations, some people just cannot contain their eagerness to know what really happened to the missing MH370 flight. This led to hoax news claiming the mysteriously missing Malaysian Airlines jetliner was already found. News of the missing airline to have been found flooded Facebook and Twitter, making it another trending topic on social media platforms.

“Malaysia Airline Found.” This is the title of the hoax news that’s been going around FB and Twitter. Users, who are also eager to know developments on the missing aircraft, would be compelled to click on the links. After which, a pop up window appears telling you to “Please click image above and share us on Facebook to close.”

Up to this day, the missing Boeing 777 has remained to be unseen. However, there are these heartless scammers who want to ride on the issue and bag on cash after the viral effect of the hoax story posted on social media sites.

Aside from the story of the airline having been found, another link points out that the jetliner gone missing last Saturday can be traced to the Bermuda triangle. Meanwhile, these Facebook scams were designed to prompt users in participating to bogus online surveys and not deliver a real story.
