A factual theory for the missing flight MH370 written on Google+

After excruciating days of searching for the missing flight MH370, no signs of the aircraft surfaced. However, report from the Business Insider said that among the many speculations drawn to be the cause of the disappearance of the Boeing 777 jetliner, an articulated theory posted on Google+ by an ex-pilot seemed to be the most factual. The post was from Chris Goodfellow, a former pilot who wrote down his most articulate thoughts on what have caused the pilot to take a left turn and the possible whereabouts of the plane.

Goodfellow started his post from the time the airplane went missing. He said that after the flight MH370 of Malaysian Airlines flew from Kuala Lumpur, the pilot’s last message saying “goodnight” to the Malaysian air control tower, possible smoke occurred in the cockpit from the tire of the flight landing gear. The next recourse of the pilot was to find the nearest airport where the huge Boeing 777 could land.

The closest airport was Pulau Langkawi with a runaway big enough to accommodate the plane. The next theory Goodfellow wrote was, the autopilot was switched on turning the plane west and put it on a course heading for the runway. The pilot and the co-pilot might have searched for where the smoke is coming from and tried to stop it. They did not give a distress call as mid-air priorities are “aviate, navigate, communicate.”

The last scenario that might have happened was smoke filled the cockpit and the pilots passed out or died. No one in the plane knew what have happened inside and perhaps the crew did not have access to the cockpit’s door to instruct the autopilot to land. The plane might have kept flying six to seven hours on autopilot mode “pinging” satellites until it ran out of fuel. With this turn of events, the plane went flying towards Palau Langkawi and crashing to the Indian Ocean.
