A new update has been added to the long list of speculations regarding the missing flight MH370’s disappearance. According to a local newspaper, Maldives island residents have spotted a plane March 8 around 6:15 a.m. The residents of the remote area Kuda Huvadhoo said that it could have been the missing Malaysia Airlines.

According to locals, they saw “a jumbo jet” flying low just above the islands. The paper cited eyewitnesses saying that the giant plane they saw had white and red stripes across it. The description is similar to that of the missing Boeing 777. The paper also added citing eyewitnesses that the plane was flying low and very loudly.

The islanders in the remote area did not recall ever seeing a plane flying low in their area before. Instead, what they typically see is a normal takeoff or landing by other passenger jets. The time of the sighting also matches regarding the range of the missing jetliner and its last known location.
