Passengers on board flight 0970 of Virgin Australia experienced an extra treat from the cast of Disney Broadway. The flight from Brisbane heading to Sydney was delighted with a live performance from the Broadway cast of Disney’s classic, The Lion King. According to a report from The Huffington Post, the cast sang The Circle of Life, a song from the hit animated film.
In a video description, DisneyOnBroadway wrote, "After an amazing day at The Lion King Brisbane season launch announcement, members of our Australian cast felt so elated they decided to sing the 'Circle of Life' prior to take off on their flight back to Sydney!"
The live performance by the cast was recorded on video, The Huffington Post said. The live experience of those aboard the flight was rapidly shared on social media outlets including YouTube. The video uploaded on April 1 has gained more than 2 million views and counting.
