The University of Connecticut has been confronted with several mishaps too many times. UConn was not wanted in any conference, their team players and coach abandoned the team and even the NCAA has banned them from playing in the hardcourt due to grade problems, reported CBC Sports.

Despite all circumstances, UConn won the title against Kentucky on Monday night. The game ended 60 to 54 in favor of UConn. Shabazz Napier scored in 22 points, three assists with six rebounds. Meanwhile, Napier’s partner Ryan Boatright ended scoring 14 points, said a report from CBC.

After the buzzer was heard in the hard court, Napier kneeled down with his forehead down on the floor. UConn’s guard was trying to hold back his tears after the team’s victory, reported CBC.

Napier addressed the crowd and the home viewers saying, "You're looking at the hungry Huskies. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what happens when you banned us."
