By

Apple and Samsung have always competed in the tech market regardless of the product. Since the legal dispute between the two companies, competition has grown stiffer pitting products and services against each other. The rivalry is emphasized even more as reports indicate that Samsung and Apple are gearing up for product releases in September. Samsung will come out with the Galaxy Note 4 whereas Apple will release the iPhone 6. Who will win?

The release of the Samsung Galaxy S5 sparked mixed reactions from the market. Nonetheless, it is still considered as one of the best smartphones around. Following its release, the market is now keen to see what Samsung has in store. News about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 started surfacing only a few weeks after the release of the S5. Likewise, Android Geeks pointed out that the Galaxy Note 3 was released last September. Seeing that Samsung appears to be following a tradition or similar timeline with its gadgets then people can expect the Galaxy Note 4 to come out around September. A Samsung executive also hinted previously that the company plans to release something during the IFA according to CNET. Analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI securities predicted the release of the iPhone 6 around September similar to other iPhone releases. To get a good insight on how the competition between the two companies will be a rundown of specs should help.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Specs

The device will reportedly run on a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor offering up to 3GB RAM with a camera sporting 16MP ISOCELL sensor. The camera will also come with an Optimal Image Stabilization feature like the one included in the S5. A Samsung official also hinted about a new form factor possibly featuring a a Youm-like screen allowing the device to bend over to its edges. Other features to expect include 5.7-inch Quad HD screen with pixel density of 515ppi and 1440 x 2560 resolution.

iPhone 6 Specs

It has been a long standing prediction that Apple will release two sizes of the iPhone 6: 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. The handset will feature sapphire glass materials encased in liquidmetal ensuring shock proof capabilities according to Forbes. Other reported features include the iOS 8, improved A8 processor, 10MP primary camera, NFC payment system and scaled down resolution. It appears Apple wants to maintain the same resolution with the 4.7-inch to the 5.5-inch to ensure iOS interface and apps remain presentable until the company finds a way around the bigger screen.

The market should have its verdict soon after Apple and Samsung release their devices.
