Siri changed the way people use their handsets. Apple was able to incorporate a range of touch-less functions through Siri. Here are some tips and tricks to maximize the Siri experience.
1. Pick a new Siri voice
-Ever get tired of hearing the same old voice over and over again? It is now easy to change Siri'svoice by going to General >Siri> Change gender to switch voices.
2. Set reminders for locations
-Once you give Siri personal information like your home and work addresses, you can tell her to do something when you arrive at a particular location. You can tell the voice prompt to remind you to finish the dishes once at home. People can also ask Siri to remind them of important files and documents to take home. This is very useful when you are in meetings or hotels.
3. Teach Siri how to pronounce names
-If Siri constantly gets the names of your contacts wrong, you can teach her how to pronounce their names by simply saying, "Learn how to pronounce contact name." When prompted, pronounce the first name three times and then choose the best recording, and do the same for the last name.
4. Keep Siri private
-When iOS 7 was first released, some users found hacks that let you use Siri to bypass the lock screen without entering the passcode at all. When this happens, hackers have access to information on your phone like Siri's information and your contacts. Apple has fixed this flaw, but to take precaution, go to Settings > General >Passcode Lock > tap on the Siri button so that it is not turned on (not green). With this, Siri can only be used once your lock screen has been unlocked with the correct passcode.
5. Find your friends
-If you use the Find Your Friends application, you can say, "Where is Patricia?" to locate friends that have agreed to share information with you.
