2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors: LeBron James reuniting with the Cleveland Cavaliers?

By

We are only days away from July 10 - when free agents can begin signing contracts with teams in the NBA - and no one is still certain where LeBron James is headed next. We are now even in the point in free agency where teams looking to make a big splash in the offseason feel that LeBron is more likely to leave than Melo according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

"It's not a done deal," a source revealed when asked about LeBron James resigning with the Miami Heat. "That's for sure."

What's even more surprising is that Bosh and Wade - LeBron's two best pals and teammates in 4 consecutive NBA Finals appearances and 2 championships - are not sure if they will be playing with him with the Heat next season. They were so uncertain about his next decision after last week's meeting that one of them expressed thoughts on what the Heat might look like with the absence of LeBron James, once source revealed.

Perhaps LeBron is thinking of a reunion with his home town Cleveland? We are not completely sure but there are rumors spreading around the league that he might just be considering coming back home to the Cavs - the team that drafted him No.1 overall.

"Cleveland has replaced Miami as my frontrunner to land LeBron James." Chris Broussard said in his Twitter Account. I'm not saying LJ to Cavs is done deal or I know 4 a fact; just my gut feeling based on many conversations I've had around this story."

The Cavs are also pursuing LeBron and Rich Paul has already sat down with Cavs owner Dan Gilbert - a sign that the team has moved on from the past and is ready to make a new future with James - which makes the reunion even more possible.

The franchise believes that they can convince the 2 time Finals MVP to come back. After a couple of years of planning, the Cavs are confident that LeBron will legitimately listen to their pitch to part ways with the Miami Heat and reunite with his home state this offseason, according to sources close to the situation.

Reports say that the Cavs pitch made to Rich Paul last week - which they are also looking to make this week to LeBron when they meet him face-to-face - spin around rising star point guard Kyrie Irving and their army of young talents plus the multiple options that they have in terms of upgrading their roster in the seasons to come.

At present, there is no clear indication that LeBron will leave the Heat after their recent collapse in the finals against the Spurs but sources told ESPN.com that the 10 time All-Star is becoming more and more intrigued on going back to the Cavs as the 2014 NBA free agency advances.
