Apparently, the entire free agency revolves around Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James. As long as the two biggest names have yet to sign on a team or commit on signing to a team, the Bulls, Mavs, Lakers, Rockets, Suns, and other teams who are in pursuit of the super star forwards will continue to lie in wait.
So what can fans expect in the end as the NBA Free Agency continues to advance? Here are our predictions on the two biggest names in the 2014 NBA free agency, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony.
Carmelo Anthony will return to the New York Knicks
Carmelo Anthony is without a doubt the biggest name in the free agency market outside LeBron James. Being as coveted as he is, he took his time and entertained pitches from several suitors to see which of them can offer him the best. He made a tour around the country going to Chicago to Houston, Dallas and Los Angeles and met with owners, president's, and super stars from their respective ball clubs.
Unfortunately for them and their thoughtful pitches, Carmelo Anthony and his family just loves the Big Apple too much. Expect the perennial All-Star to remain as a New York Knicks for the next chapter of his career with a brand new $129 million contract.
LeBron Bolts out from the Heat
After the Miami Heat were destroyed in the finals by the Spurs, it looked like LeBron James would be considering a change of scenery. And with how the past few weeks have unfolded, it does seem like LeBron will be bolting out from Miami and take a max contract and/or perhaps make a reunion with his home town Cleveland.
The Rockets were smelling a LeBron exit in the Heat so they offered Bosh a max contract. Smart move. If Bosh takes the offer, then it would mean that LeBron will surely be playing for another team. It looks like its going to be Dwyane Wade after all who will be loyal to the Heat for the rest of his career.
