Lebron James Free Agent Rumors: '90 percent' chance for LeBron to reunite with Cleveland according to report

By

The latest report on LeBron james this free agency is that he is narrowing down his options into two: staying with the Miami Heat or going back home to the Cleveland Cavaliers. But according to Chris Sheridan of SheridanHoops.com, there is a "90 percent chance" that LeBron will reunite with the Cleveland Cavaliers and that the manner in which it will be announced is already underway.

"Plugged-in source tells me there is a 90 percent chance that LeBron James will return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and it will be announced on www.lebronjames.com if it happens." Sheridan said on his site. "That is my latest intelligence, and it comes from the same league source who told me Monday that he felt there was a 75 percent chance James returns to his original NBA team."

But why Cleveland? According to Sheridan its all about LerBron Jame's legacy which can be narrowed down to three essential points.

  1. He has achieved everything that he needs to achieve in Miami. In his 4 year stint with the Heat, he went for four successive trips to the NBA Finals and won 2 back-to-back championships in which he became the 2-time Finals MVP. Nobody can take that away from him not even the Heat and Pat Riley if he decides to part ways with the franchise.
  2. A reunion with the Cleveland Cavaliers gives him the opportunity to hand the City of Cleveland, which he owes a lot after he bolted out 4 years ago with his "Decision" madness, its first NBA title in any sport since 1964. If he accomplishes such feat, then it will have a positive and lasting impact on his legacy.
  3. And finally, The King has the opportunity to join forces with Kyrie Irving and make a dynasty in his home town. It would surely be amazing if LeBron ends his career in Cleveland.

But while Jame's decision to come back home to Cleveland comes down to its roster which features a deep pool of young talented players in Kyrie Irving, Andrew Wiggins, Tristan Thompson, and Dion Waiters, their is also a lot of support coming from his family and inner circle of friends.

A source who has inside knowledge on the situation told SheridanHoops that James' inner circle, from his wife, Savannah to his agent, Rich Paul, to his best friends, Maverick Carter and Randy Mims, are all in favor of the idea that the best scenario for James is to reunite with the Cavs.

But things could change, as Sheridan mentioned in his report. Melo's decision could ultimately affect that of James since that two are close pals and are reportedly intrigued at the possibility of playing together. But the most likely scenario for them to play together is with the Phoenix Suns as it is the only team with the salary cap room to offer both stars a max deal and I don't think anyone of them would want to play in Phoenix.

For now, however, it appears like its going to go down between the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers as LeBron Jame's next destination.
