After portraying Sami for twenty years, Sweeney will now be directing GH after a position was offered to him by GH executive producer Frank Valentini. Sweeney has already finished shooting her scenes for "Days of Our Lives" last May and Valentini says she has been shadowing the team for some time. It will be a different direction for the actress and one that she has been looking forward to.
