The award-winning actress Cameron Diaz proves that she is still daring enough to show skin as she stars on the upcoming comedy film "Sex Tape" with "How I Met Your Mother" star Jason Segel.
The film - produced by Todd Black, Steve Tisch, and Jason Blumental and directed by Jake Kasdan - exposes the story of a happy couple accidentally uploading a hilarious video that was supposed to be a simple video saved on their laptop.
The official synopsis of the film: "When Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) first got together, their romantic connection was intense - but ten years and two kids later, the flame of their love needs a spark. To kick things up a notch, they decide - why not? - to make a video of themselves trying out every position in The Joy of Sex in one marathon three-hour session. It seems like a great idea - until they discover that their most private video is no longer private. With their reputations on the line, they know they're just one click away from being laid bare to the world... but as their race to reclaim their video leads to a night they'll never forget, they'll find that their video will expose even more than they bargained for."
Ana (Cameron Diaz) was reported by E! Online that she was feeling embarrassed of the film's main concept. "This might be-no, it definitely is the most embarrassing moment of my life," she explained.
Moreover, Diaz (who became the cover model of Esquire's 2014 August issue) and Segel's best friends, Ellie Kemper and Rob Corddy, have watched the video clip. During the same interview, Corddry said, "Yes, we watched the video." In addition he had told that they had "skimmed it because [they] didn't have time."
On the other hand, Kemper told Diaz, ""You should not feel embarrassed." Then, "If anything, you should feel proud," the friend spoke awkwardly.
Meanwhile on Esquire (as quoted by Huffington Post), the 41-year old actress had revealed that the scenes were just for the film and nonetheless, nothing's wrong with the role (excluding the embarrassing part). "It's a first for me. But Jason (Segel) gets naked, too. It's just a part of the role. So I did it. I mean, you see everything," she explained.
She also gave an insight about a scene where she gets all her muscles pumping just to act that she's about the labor a child. "I found myself in a room in the middle of nowhere Massachusetts at 11:00 at night doing a childbirth scene, and everybody's screaming at one another -- Jason, the cameramen, the director," she begins.
"And me acting like I'm trying to push a basketball out of my vajoon. Crazy shit, right? And the thing is, I always take a moment to say, 'We're lucky. This is a great job. A fun job!"
Meanwhile, Segel isn't new on showing his bare naked body on screen. He garnered much attention on his full-frontal nude scene on the 2007's "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". With this, the actor didn't have much time adjusting on the upcoming film.
"Sex Tape" will premiere in big screens on July 25.
