Xbox One owners have patiently been awaiting the relase of "Grand Theft Auto V" The game, which was released on September 17, 2013 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, has been rumored for a Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC release at the end of 2014 for quite a while, and now fans might finally have the information they've been looking for.
According to Gameranx, a Danish games retailer has just listed the game for release on November 14th, 2014. This makes sense as far as an Xbox One release date goes, but it may be better suited for a European release. Not only because the supposed leaker is a Danish site, but because in the United States, games typically release on a Tuesday. "Call of Duty: Aadvanced Warfare" is hitting the Xbox One on Tuesday, November 4; "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is set for November 11, and "Far Cry 4" on November 18. European game releases, on the other hand, typically happen on a Friday.
November 14 also may not be accurate if Microsoft would to launch"Grand Theft Auto V" in a period not already stuffed with big game launches.
In all of this launch information, the one thing that hasn't been mentioned is a release for Mac OS X. Previous games in the series, most notably "Grand Theft Auto 3," "Vice City," and "San Andreas" have all been available on Mac platforms, both OS X and iOS. The previous installment before V, however- "Grand Theft Auto IV," was not.
While Mac users are likely looking for a way to play "Grand Theft Auto V," the current speculation points is that an OS X version will not be released. This is not uncommon; typically, big game releases for either PS4 or Xbox One are given a PC edition, but not always an OS X one.
Either way, "GTA" fans only have a few months of waiting left before the game is available.
