Legend of Korra Book 3 Episode 6 and 7 Airing; Season Premiere Receives Poor Rating

By

"The Legend of Korra" Book 3 will air its 6th and 7th episodes this Friday, July 18. The titles of the episodes are "Old Wounds" and "Original Airbenders" respectively.

Episode 7 is the first episode to air that was not leaked by NickMundo earlier last month. This is why many fans are excited for the episode's airing.

The remaining episodes of "The Legend of Korra" Book 3 will be aired in twos at 8:00 pm EST, Nickelodeon confirmed.

Another reason fans are excited is the news that "The Legend of Korra" will grace the San Diego Comic-Con on July 25. Co-creator Bryan Konietzko wrote on Tumblr, "The Korra SDCC panel is on Friday, July 25 at 11:15 -12:15 pm, Ballroom 20.

Konietzko also expressed his excitement to be joined by Korra panel veterans Janet Varney (Korra), Seychelle Gabriel (Asami), and David Faustino (Mako). First time Korra panelists Mindy Sterling (Lin Beifong) and John Michael Higgins (Varrick) are also joining.

"We'll be showing a new, never-been-leaked Book 3 episode, and some other cool sneak peeks. Mike and I, along with various special guests, will be doing three signings during the convention. More info on all of that soon. Looking forward to seeing you in San Diego!," he added.

Meanwhile, Hypable reports that while the animated series is confirmed for Season 4, the premiere of the current season faired the worst in the history of the show.

According to Zap2It, the season's first two episodes had 1.504 million viewers while the next one only Legend of Korra's air date was announced only a week before airing, possibly the reason of the poor ratings.

Fans, however, are looking forward to see the new episodes despite the negative issues thrown at the series' promotion.
