With the scarcity of details regarding J.J. Abrams and Disney's upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII," fans have begun to lose their minds with possibilities for the upcoming film.
But now, thanks to images that have just released online, fans have a new source of information-and a new source to base their countless speculations off of. The Daily Mail has just published new set photos from the upcoming film, which show that filming has occured in The Forest of Dean, a forest in Puzzlewood, Gloucester.
The photos show clearings, areas of brush and various gnarled walkways, footpaths and bridges all used as potential filming locations, giving rise to speculation that the Forest of Dean will stand in for an alien planet, potentially the Ewok home planet Endor, in the future sequel.
Once Abrams and the rest of his crew had finished filming in the Forest of Dean, fans immediately entered the forest, desperate to find any clues that might provide new information about the next "Star Wars" film. The cast and crew shot at the Forest of Dean for a week, trying to cover up any information about the film with as much secrecy as possible.
Kevin Smith, who recently toured the set of "Star Wars: Episode VII," had nothing but positive things to say about the film's set and production. According to Smith, Abrams is "building a tacticle world, a world you can touch. And he's replicating it with all the love of somebody that has the world's greatest collection of 'Star Wars' figures."
Meanwhile, new plot rumors about the upcoming film say that the sculptor of the original Darth Vader mask has joined this new "Star Wars" film, and that the story will be set 30 years after the original trilogy.
"Star Wars: Episode VII" has a release date of December 18, 2015.
