Penny Dreadful Season 2 to be on air by 2015; Tamsin Egerton will join the cast? Showtime Reveals Episode Count

Penny Dreadful Season 2, a British-American horror TV series created for Showtime by three-time Oscar nominee John Logan, will be on air with its next season by 2015.

The official press release by Showtime states, "PENNY DREADFUL will be back for a second season consisting of 10 episodes. Starring Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton and Eva Green, the series will go back into production in Dublin, Ireland for a 2015 launch."

Based on BREATHEcast report Penny Dreadful drew 4.8 million weekly viewers across multiple platforms and it is currently the networks most-watched new show through its Showtime on Demand and Showtime Anytime avenues.

According to TVLine, in a statement Showtime President David Nevins said, "Picking up Penny Dreadful was one of the easiest decisions I've made."

"John Logan has deftly created an epic series that has drawn raves from a wide-range of audiences from quality drama lovers to critics, to hardcore genre fans," he added.

In an exclusive interview Ad Week, Penny Dreadful's creator John Logan said, "I look for ways to challenge them as both characters and actors and I look for ways to satisfy them as both characters and actors."

A report by Ecumenical News states that British actress Tamsin Egerton may join the cast list of Penny Dreadful in the next season.

However, Showtime has not yet revealed any details the cast of Penny Dreadful Season 2. So the entertainment world is eagerly waiting for the new season.
