The eighth season of "The Big Bang Theory" is scheduled to air on September 22, 2014, but there are still rumors that some of the cast members' contracts have not yet been finalized.
Deadline reported that stars Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, and Jim Parsons----whose contracts expired lat season--still have no deals in place.
Cast members Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik have reportedly renegotiated their contracts and will be back on the show.
Deadline predicts that if deals with the five stars are not settled withing the next two weeks, the season 8 production may be rescheduled. "I hear that even if Big Bang doesn't start start production until after Labor Day, it still is expected to be able to deliver an hourlong season premiere for September 22 but insiders do not think things would go that far," said the report.
One of the biggest questions for the upcoming season is where Sheldon's (played by Jim Parsons) character is headed. At the end of season seven, we see him leaving in a train to Pasadena.
In an interview, Parsons said that even he is uncertain of what's in store for Sheldon this season, but he liked the suggestion that the won't board the train. "I never thought of that, but you're right - he could show back up at home immediately, couldn't he?" he told TV Line.
Parsons added that he's not sure what's next for Sheldon and Amy: "I don't know that we're headed for the bedroom or the altar any time soon. But, whatever... The writers have been so good with the pace of it, just bring more is all I would say."
Some of the show's expected highlights include possible wedding bells for Penny and Leonard, and Bernadette and Howard would may take the next step and try to have children. This may also be the season that we'll meet Penny's mom--rumors say that it will be played by "Friends" and "Web Therapy" star Lisa Kudrow.
