“Hot Mug Shot Guy” Jeremy Meeks Gets Death Hoax, Shot by Wife [Rumors]

By

They always say that you haven't made it big in Hollywood if you haven't gotten a death hoax yet. If that is true, then Jeremy Meeks is definitely a hot shot now. But who is he really? A rising actor? A new musician? A famous model?

The answer is none of the above. For those who don't know him yet, Meeks is the newest internet heartthrob known as the "hot mug shot guy" who became popular after his mug shot garnered national attention for his piercing blue eyes and chiseled features, the IBtimes says. He was arrested on June for possessing a firearm.

The death hoax story claims that Meeks was released from jail before midnight on Tuesday, July 15. According to the website which originally posted the report, Stockton police found his body lying on the road in Central Stockton on Wednesday, 1 a.m. He was then supposedly taken to the Community Regional Medical Center but died from his wounds immediately.

Business2Community reports that the fake death was blamed on Meek's wife, Lashanda. The two were rumored to have been on a fight which ended with Lashanda shooting her husband. Enstarz, however, says that there is no truth in the said news. Pictures of the popular mug shot hottie attending court were shown to disprove the rumor.

Meeks was arrested by the Stockton police during their Operation Ceasefire which was executed in an effort to reduce the increasing shootings and robberies in Weston Ranch, Northern California. He is currently facing one charge for possession of a firearm. If convicted, Meeks will face up to 10 years of imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

Meeks, however, seem to have better things to look forward to after jail. The mug shot guy was supposedly offered a modelling contract after the internet went crazy at him after his arrest. His picture has already garnered thousands of likes and comments in Facebook and fan page dedicated for the bad boy has over 10,000 likes as of June 20.
