Patience is a virtue. Whether you're standing in line at the DMV or waiting for your name to be called at the doctor's office, the smartphone is always a good device to have to productively or enjoyably kill time.
1. Your Inbox - Take advantage of the free time to manage your emails. Click on the inbox, read, then answer the emails that have slowly been piling up throughout the day. You can also organize the emails by segregating them into the appropriate folders you have assigned. Cleaning up your inbox by putting all the spam in the trash and deleting them is also an option. With these steps, you just made your boring waiting time absolutely productive.
2. Brain Games - If you want to mix up productivity and fun, you can easily do so with crossword puzzles, tetris, logic tests and other games that exercise the mind. Crossword puzzles are thought to fight off Alzheimer's, and they are readily available with most digital devices. Mental exercises supposedly stimulate the brain just like how physical exercises stimulate the body.
3. Fun and Entertainment Games - There are hundreds of apps available in every smartphone. Endless supply of game apps can take away some of the boredom and irritability of waiting. If you want more dose of the world cup, an app called AllStar Juggler (for android and iOs) is the game for you. The player gets to choose a jersey according to his favorite team then he can get the soccer ball to bounce as many times as he can on the player's knees and foot while angry spectators fling stuff on him. There's another app called Star Celeb Head Smasher - Pop My Hollywood Celebrity. For example, Justin Bieber haters no longer need to send hate tweets to his Twitter or Instagram accounts. Play the game and you can opt to pop his head. Though, it will require some gaming strategy.
