A teaser video of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 8 premiere was revealed by the writers in the recently concluded Comic-Con 2014 in San Diego, California, Kpopstarz reports.
The sitcom's Season 7 finale showed Sheldon at the train station, attempting to escape Pasadena. The character's departure left viewers wondering whether he will still end up with Amy in the newest season's premiere.
Sheldon's departure left fans wondering whether he would still end up with Amy in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 8 premiere. The series' writers did not give hints about the exact future of the two main characters. They, however, said that Sheldon and Amy would go on radiating happiness on the show.
Fans were also thrilled to know that the epic comic book store will be returning. The show's Executive Producer Steve Molaro announced, "There will be a comic book store in the future."
"We're figuring out how exactly that will work out but the show will not go on without a comic book store, I promise you," he continued.
For fans of Penny-Leonard love team, reports suggest that the two might not be marrying anytime soon. "Penny's first goal is to put the date far enough in the future so that everyone knows for a fact that she is not pregnant," Molaro revealed.
The show's executive producer also suggested that they already have in mind a target end date for the show. "I have thoughts, but I'm not going to say them right now," he hinted.
It was previously reported that actor Jim Parsons (Sheldon) has resigned from the show due to conflict that transpired on the show's set. Empire News, however, reported that "the issue is nothing but satirical." Nonetheless, the actor says that he does not have a contract yet for the show's upcoming season.
Parsons, who attended the San Diego Comic-Con, admitted that he has no idea regarding his character's fate in the show. "I know Sheldon left on a train last season, and my first question was: Are you writing me off, which got a guffaw from the writer I asked," the actor said.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that filming for the show's next season was postponed after a contract dispute between the show's stars and the comedy show transpired.
"Due to ongoing contract negotiations, production on 'The Big Bang Theory' -- which was originally scheduled to begin today (July 30)-- has been postponed," a statement by production company Warner Bros. TV reads.
