Kevin McHale of Fox's hit musical TV series "Glee" spoke about the show's upcoming final season, Enstars reports. According to McHale, the late Glee star Cory Monteith, will somehow be part of the final episodes.

McHale, who plays Artie in the series, told The Sun that the 13-episode final season will feature the late actor's character, Finn Hudson.

"His character was just an integral part of the show, so there's really no way to go on and see these characters grow up without him being a part of it in some way," McHale explained.

Monteith died on July 13, 2013 due to drug and alcohol overdose. The actor passed away at age of 31. His character, Finn Hudson, was given a special tribute in an episode entitled "The Quarterback," in the show's fifth season.

As the series' final season is coming, McHale expressed how he feels about the show's six-season run on the air.

"We're about to start filming our last season, but, as sad as that may be, I think that's that," the actor shared.

"We've had a really good run, and we've done some amazing storytelling, and we've got meet a lot of the fans around the world, which is pretty rare for a show to get to do."

The actor added that the series is wrapping up "at a good point." He also noted, "We've seen the characters become young adults, and I think they're going to wrap it up in a nice way."

Previous reports claim that as Lea Michele's Rachel Berry, along with other supporting characters, is returning for the last season. Jane Lynch, who is also expected to be part of the season, earlier told HollywoodLife, "It's going to be sad wrapping this up, and I guess I could start the mourning process now, but I don't want to think about it. It's sad - it's been the best thing that's ever happened to me."

Glee's sixth and final season is expected to air in early 2015 on Fox.
