Mix five British-Irish crooners and 54,000 fans in one place and you will exactly get what happened during One Direction's concert in Toronto Canada last August 1.

The fivesome kicked off their North American series of concerts for their Where We Are Tour amidst a screaming fanfare of girls--and some courageous mothers and fathers--at Toronto's Rogers Centre, MTV.com reports. The concert is first of the two back-to-back shows of the popular boy band made up by Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson.

The concert's energy was high from start to finish with fast-rising Aussie boy band Five Seconds of Sumer, also known as 5SOS opening the show. The TorontoSun, on the other hand, reports that the band gave an energetic performance with a four-piece band backing their numbers. Just some of the song highlights during the show are Little Things, Right Now, Moments, Story of My Life, What Makes You Beautiful, and Best Song Ever.

The crowd even went crazy when the boys finally gave their individual messages to their audience in between their performances. At one point, crowd favorite Harry Styles even said, "I am falling in love with you right now. Does anybody here like the Maple Leafs?... If any of you come to England, you're going to stay at my casa!"

The quintet was recently just named as Britain's most triumphant musical export of 2013, bringing British music back in the higher ladder of the music industry after years. According to HereistheCity.com, the quintet's global success has made British artists account for the "top-selling global album in six of the last seven years".

The group, who were created way back on the X Factor by Simon Cowell in 2010, has released Midnight Memories in November 2013 which sold 4 million copies globally in just a span of six weeks. And while they are still riding in the success of their latest album, 1D has supposedly already started working on their fourth album as well which will supposedly be different from the usually pop sounds of their earlier records. Manchester Indie band The 1975 and Irish rock group Kodaline have both confirmed that they will be working with the group.
