The trailer of the highly-anticipated VH1 series spin-off of "Hollywood Exes" has recently released, Enstarz reported, and boy it is everything that one expects in a reality show. The first-look had provided viewers a glimpse of the shocking drama involving its cast members, who are all former partners or wives of famous celebrities. The reality show features Torrei Hart (ex-wife of Kevin Hart), Tameka Raymond (ex-wife of Usher), Christina Johnson (ex-wife of Cee-Lo Green), Sheree Buchanan (ex-wife of former NFL star Ray Buchanan) and Monyetta Shaw (ex-fiancee of Ne-Yo). Zap2It said that the new reality show is a spin-off from the cable channel's highly-successful "Hollywood Exes" franchise.
An interesting observation in the teaser is that most of the drama is centered on Tameka. Tameka, who has since parted ways with her Grammy awardee husband in 2011, might have been the perfect choice for show producers considering the many poignant moments that she had in her life lately as a former partner to a household name.
Setting the mood of the show, which will debut on August 18, at 9/8 Central on VH1, Tameka said to the camera, "We all have a little crazy in us."
One part of the teaser indicated that there might be a feud between the former Mrs Hart and Usher's ex-wife. In the trailer Torrei described Tameka as "mean" and "condescending."
"You throw jabs all the time...Hoodrat thief. Lay in the coffin. Kill yourself," the reality star said as she addressed Tameka.
Torrei's accusations might have enough standing. Tameka is also known to have gotten into a clash with famous Atlanta DJ Traci Steele.
On the other hand, Tameka reminded in the teaser that there is a reason behind her strong personality. Referring to the recent death of Kile Glover, her child from a previous marriage, who died in a tragic jet skiing accident a year after her divorce with Usher, Tameka told the camera, "My pain runs a lot deeper than the other women's pain."
On the other hand, VH1 emphasized that the show is not all about Tameka. Monyetta, although not married to Ne-Yo, has been considered in the series considering that she has two boys together with the R&B singer. In the teaser, it appears that Monyetta has yet to come to terms about her not being able to have more children if she desires to as she underwent a surgical procedure
"I closed up shop," she said just before bursting into tears.
Torrei would be an interesting cast member on the show given that her husband appears to have his career renewed thanks to his successful comedy tour "Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain," and a string of successful films "Think Like a Man," "Ride Along" and "About Last Night." In the teaser, Torrei opened up the demise of her relationship with Hart, even revealing that the actor had an affair. She is seen discussing how unfair it was for her former comedian partner to have broken up their family and bring his new partner around their children.
"Atlanta Exes," Zap2It said, will be moving to its regular schedule, which is Mondays at 9:30, the following week.
