“Star Wars: Episode VII” News: WWE Superstar Sheamus Rumored to Play Darth Vader; Actor Simon Pegg Visits Set, Still Quiet about his Involvement in the Film

The iconic villain "Darth Vader" is reportedly returning to the big screen via the highly anticipated "Star Wars: Episode VII." Rumors have been buzzing online regarding the much awaited comeback of the character, Enstars reports.

Several reports claim that WWE wrestler Sheamus will be playing Darth Vader in the upcoming installment of the movie. The champion wrestler previously tweeted a photo of himself at Skellig Michael, where some parts of the film are supposedly shot.

The picture showed Sheamus holding his fists out, looking as if he is yelling while standing on the island. The caption reads, "On way to #skelligmichael today stopped off at the #cliffsofmoher #ireland."

An article from the Irish Mirror reported that the wrestler might be on the island as part of the cast and that he might landed the role of Darth Vader. The article reads, "A long time in the future, in a cinema not far away, the former Dublin choirboy turned champion grappler could appear in Star Wars as Darth Vader."

There has been no confirmation yet regarding Sheamus playing the Star Wars villain. However, he teased that he did not say he would be playing the character, but he did not say he would not play either.

"I cant confirm that i wont not be reprising role of Darth Vader in #StarWars ... I hope that's clear @IrishMirror ;)," the wrestler wrote.

In other news, actor Simon Pegg also hinted his possible appearance in the film. The actor recently admitted he has visited the set but he remained silent about his supposed role in the movie.

"Well, J.J. uses me in different roles, and we're good friends," said Pegg. "I feel like my face in Star Wars would pop people out of the movie. Look, I love Star Wars, and I don't want people to watch and go, Oh, there's Simon Pegg's face. The film is cleverly cast with these amazing, unknown actors," the actor continued.

"Of course I visited the set," Pegg added. "It's amazing, and I love Star Wars. I want to see everything happening. It looks wonderful, and you need to believe those characters. Any type of stunt casting might just pop you out of the movie."

"Star Wars: Episode VII" is slated to release on December 18, 2015.
