While busy on the promotion of his documentary, "Deepsea Challenge 3D," James Cameron revealed that the filming for the highly anticipated sequels of his blockbuster "Avatar" will star next year, Enstarz reported. The award-winning filmmaker also assured fans that star's Zoe Saldana's pregnancy will not be a problem once shooting begins.

Recently, Saldana responded to questions about her very jampacked filming schedule. Aside from "Avatar," the already visibily-pregnant actress has also graced the big screen as the green-skinned Gamora in the massive blockbuster "Guardians of the Galaxy." Saldana also played the love interest to Zachary Quinto's Spock character in the "Star Trek" reboot, and will be committed to sequels of all money-making franchises. Vulture quoted the actress, who said with a laugh, "I do know that "Avatar (2, 3 and 4)" is coming first. It's been the one in line for a while now, and we're just waiting for Jim to give us the green light so it can happen early next year. My backpack is ready!"

After "Avatar," Saldana would be working on "Star Trek 3" and then on "Guardians of the Galaxy 2".

Cameron told The New York Daily News, "The beauty of doing the performance capture is that she can be as big as a house and it really doesn't matter. Because we're not photographing her, we're 'capturing' her. She might have some physical limitations running around through the jungle, but we can get around all that stuff."

Cameron also said that since production of the "Avatar" sequels require a lot of digital effects work, Daily News said that Saldana would then have already given birth by the time the "Titanic" director film scenes for the alien movie.

Meanwhile, Cameron's "Deepsea Challenge 3D" is a documentary about his 2012 record-breaking, historical one-man descent to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, which is considered the deepest part of the ocean. The documentary is slated to premiere this Friday.

"Avatar 2" is scheduled to hit the theaters on December 2016, while "Avatar 3" and "Avatar 4" are scheduled for release in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
