Phaedra Parks, one of the stars of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta," will be back for the show's seventh season, and she will reportedly be joined by her husband Apollo Nida, a convicted felon.
TMZ reported in late July that the couple had been filming for almost a month, and trying to shoot as many scenes as possible before Nida starts serving his sentence in prison. This means that there might be a dramatic scene of Apollo going to prison to begin his sentence.
35 year-old Nida has recently been sentenced to eight years in prison after being found guilty of fraud charges. It was made known that he was part of a group that laundered millions of dollars, use stolen identities, and stele checks.
Parks had missed her husband's sentencing, as confirmed by Nida himself during an interview with radio station B-100. Nida said that he's still "salty" about how Parks treated him since he was found guilty, and that he is upset with the fact that she "didn't even f***ing show up" for the sentencing.
There have been some reports claiming that Parks, who is an attorney and an author, will take some time off to think some things through--like how she will raise their sons while their father is incarcerated.
Meanwhile, the couple has not yet released an official statement about the state of their marriage given Nida's troubles with the law, but many fans believe that they may be calling it quits. TMZ has cited sources, who told the gossip outlet that the couple's storyline for Season 7 would center on Apollo's conviction and the effects of it to his family and to the couple's already crumbling relationship, hinting that a divorce might be in the cards.
Meanwhile, Hollywood Life reported said that the divorce had been a long time coming if not for the couple's two young sons.
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 7 premiere date has not yet been announced by Bravo, but it's believed that it will be released as early as the fall.
