Chris Pratt Says "Jurassic World" is "Going to Knock Your Socks Off;" Predicted His "Jurassic Park" Role Years in Advance

By

It didn't always seem like Chris Pratt would be Hollywood's next action movie leading man. Given his work on "Parks & Recreation," it seemed like Pratt would be relegated to comedy supporting characters his entire career.

And yet an action hero he has become- first with this year's "The Lego Movie," then "Guardians of the Galaxy," and with "Jurassic World" next summer.

No one's more surprised than Pratt, who jokingly predicted that he would be a part of the next "Jurassic Park" film back in 2010, years before the film had gained any serious momentum. In a video found by Entertainment Weekly, Pratt can be seen joking around behind the scenes of NBC's "Parks & Recreation," pretending to field texts from Steven Spielberg about starring in the next "Jurassic Park film.

"Sorry, Steven, I was asked by "Parks and Recreation"/NBC, to do behind the scenes, which is to say everyone else was asked and said no, but I have no shame, as you know by the endless gift baskets. I'll have to get back to you later about 'Jurassic Park 4.'"

Pratt might be goofing around, but he also managed to predict the future perfectly.

Now, according to Pratt, "Jurassic World" is going to be huge next summer. In an interview with Collider, Pratt gushed about how much he loves the fourth "Jurassic Park" film.

"Oh man, I just wrapped on it two days ago. They're still working for another few weeks. It is going to knock your socks off. It's gonna be so awesome, so awesome. And to the long time fans of the franchise, it is in good hands. Colin is a huge fan, he is gonna deliver a movie that is worthy of the brand and I swear to you it is just gonna be so good I already know it. I can tell."

As well, Pratt previously told Yahoo! about the film's story, which involves a fully functioning Jurassic Park theme park that's actually successful for many years.

"[The park] has been around long enough for the attendance to fall off, so they decided to come up with a new attraction to bring even more people in. And - you're never going to believe it - but it doesn't go well."

We'll have more for you as updates come in on "Jurassic World."
