Divorced, Legally and Finally: David Duchovny and Tea Leoni Officially Split after Separating Twice from 2008; 40k monthly in Spousal Support for David

After two kids, an on-and-off relationship, and a sex addiction treatment stint, David Duchovny and Tea Leoni officially divorce.

Citing "irretrievable breakdown of the relationship" as the cause, the Hollywood couple finally decided to part ways after silently settling everything between the two of them. NYDailyNews reports that David, who is best known for his role as Agent Mulder in the X Files, secretly filed for divorce last June.

This is not the first time duo had a falling apart. David and Tea had originally first split in 2008 but was able to manage to reconcile shortly after. During the time of separation, the "Californication" underwent treatment for his sex addiction.

As for the details of their separation, TVGuide.com spills that the pair will share a joint legal custody of their children though Leoni was granted to have primary physical custody. David will have to pay $40k a month for spousal support and an additional $8,333 a month for child support. He will also be the one responsible of daughter Madelaine, 15, and son Kyd's, 12 private school, summer camp, and college expenses. Fortunately, both parents live in the Upper West Side of Manhattan so it will be easier for the two to manage their children despite the separation.

David and Tea first married in 1997 and had twice split since then. Other than their brief separation back in 2008, they also split in 2011 though they have announced then that they are merely taking time apart and have not yet decided to file for divorce. Ironically enough, the DailyMail dishes that the two were just spotted enjoying a beach day back in June, the same month that David supposedly filed for the divorce.

David and his camp was asked to give their side of the story but are still yet to comment.
