"Real Housewives of New York" star Ramona Singer has just confirmed reports on Twitter last Thursday, August 7, that she and her husband Mario are now separated. Just a few months ago, it could be recalled that the reality star had vowed to go out of her way to save her marriage. She said on her tweet to her 425,000 followers, "I have decided to move on with my life without Mario. I tried my best to make my marriage work. I am excited for the new chapter in my life."
Just a few days before the Singer announced on her social media account about the breakdown of her marriage, an informant told Confidenti@l of Daily News that her husband, Mario Singer, 60, was on Upper East Side eatery Arlington Club and had been telling whoever is on his phone that he is so done with his 57 year-old wife.
The source said, "Mario's behavior was erratic. He was all over the place. He couldn't sit still. He was shouting on the phone and he was in and out of the restaurant all night. He appeared to be by himself and seemed to have enjoyed more than a few glasses of wine. He was carrying on telling whoever was on the other end that it was done, that he wanted a divorce and couldn't take it any longer." The source also added that Mario was just "standing right outside the door, and anyone entering or exiting the restaurant could hear him."
Moreover, People magazine said Mario seemed very eager to move on as he was spotted with his rumored girlfriend Kyle "Kasey" Dexter days after the split. It is unclear whether Dexter is the same woman who was reportedly caught by Ramona at the reality couple's home in the Hamptons in January this year.
It seems that Singer's separation had shocked people close to them about the news. Co-star Sonya Mazur exclusively told RadarOnline.com, "I never thought Mario would do something like this to my sister. I can't believe this happened, period. I'm shocked to hear she's going to leave. I think it's unbelievable. I thought they were the perfect couple."
