'The Bachelor' Star Juan Pablo Galavis finally says 'I Love You' to girlfriend Nikki Ferrell in public

By

It was a very shocking television moment in the Season 18 finale of "The Bachelor" when Juan Pablo had not professed his love for Nikki Ferrell despite choosing her among all the ladies who have been vying for his love on the show. But finally, after many months of waiting, Juan Pablo had made a declaration of love to his girlfriend on Twitter.

A report on Wetpaint said that Juan Pablo expressed his love for his girlfriend after they celebrated his 33rd birthday. He celebrated his birthday last August 5, 2014, which was reportedly special because of the presence of his 5 year-old daughter in the celebration.

He tweeted, "Thanks for such an SPECIAL day, GREAT dinner and TV watching with Camila... Te Quiero Mucho Mi Catira @Nikki_Ferrell..."

Ferrell was obviously elated with the very public message, and replied with not just one, but five kissing emojis.

Despite not ending in the altar to get married as was the tradition of "The Bachelor," the pair started going out on dates since the season ended last December 2013. The show was aired only in March this year. In the season finale, Juan Pablo surprised the viewing public by not proposing to her. He instead offered Ferrell that they go out instead. Juan Pablo might be among the few contestants in the reality show series who had used his head and decided to not bow with the show's pressure to marry off their chosen ones, as the two appeared to be going strong.

Nonetheless, the two has been weathering rumors of a break-up since the show ended. Ferrell told People in an interview that her boyfriend seemed more confident with taking the rumors in stride than she is.

She said, "He does a better job of ignoring it than I do. I read what people say, and it does hurt my feelings. I'm only human. But really, we are happy and doing well."
