The lead star of "The Blacklist" has been spilling Season 2 spoilers to publications to the delight of the show's fans, KpopStarz said. James Spader who plays conspicuous double-agent and informant Raymond "Red" Reddington was quoted from a video clip published on USA Today on what fans would expect on the show's return to the small screen.
He was quoted as saying by Enstarz, "There's a sort of master list of loose ends that the writers have in the writer's room in Los Angeles and those are to be utilized throughout the course of the series. All of these allows for, I think, the very important element of surprise. Just when you think you have an understanding of where we are headed, or who someone else, they aren't."
Spader was also interviewed by Playboy.com, and he was very weird with his revelations about the show. He said, ""The Blacklist" is this strange amalgamation of a serial and a procedural. But if you watch it every week, if you care to stay with it this season, there's also a much larger mythology to it. It has become something else."
Meanwhile, it was reported a couple of weeks ago that Mary-Louise Parker, who played the drugged protagonist on "Weeds," has landed a major role on the show. She will be playing Naomi on the upcoming second season of "The Blacklist." Just recently, Entertainment Weekly also said that former "Oz" actor Lee Tergesen will play Frank Hyland, the husband of Parker's character. Although there is little to know on how their characters will spice things up in the spy drama, it would be interesting to watch how they will cause Red trouble.
The production of "The Blacklist" is currently underway on the East Coast. The anticipated premiere of its second season is scheduled on September 22. The series will air new episodes until November and will come back after Super Bowl. In February next year, it has been said that "The Blacklist" will be moved to a new timeslot on Thursdays.
