Hollywood News Daily reported that fan favorite Muhney officially confirmed that he is not coming back to the show on Twitter, putting a stop to the speculations that he will be returning, much to the disappointment of the his fans. His tweet read, "Just got an official call, although things got very close, I will not be returning to Y&R. That part of my life is over. Moving on..."

The actor also admitted that he was hopeful for a return. But according to him, he is now hoping for the future. "Now you'll just have to promise to tune in to my future projects! #lovexo," a part of his next tweet reads.

Muhney also quoted Dr. Seuss: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

After the news broke on Wednesday, fans quickly showed support for the 39-year old actor through social media.

The actor was reportedly fired by the show runner Jill Phelps after a huge scandal last year. The actor allegedly groped his co-star Hunter King. The actor, however, said recently that there is no truth to the allegations, Enstarz said. Muhney was quoted by the site when he responded to fan who asked about the issue, "Yes. It was only a salacious rumor."

After Adam appeared to have been killed off in the show, the show still hinted that the actor will return. However, it was only his hands that were shown, hinting the character's possible return to Genoa City. Viewers of Y&R were still wondering whether a new actor will play the role or the character will be killed off once and for all.
