"The Mentalist" Season 7 will soon premiere but as reports suggest, this could be the show's last season. Rumors arise as the show's writers are reportedly working under as they prepare for a delayed and shortened season, Enstars reports.
In response to fan's questions, the show's writer Jordan Harper said, "It is not official but we are all working under the very strong assumption that this is the last season."
Series Creator, Bruno Heller, previously described the upcoming season as "encore," telling that the 13 episodes will be fan friendly.
"The purpose of an encore is to get people leaving the theater happy and giving them what they want and hitting your marks as strong as possible, so that will be the intention," Heller told The Hollywood Reporter.
Meanwhile, reports claim that the series is now filming scenes for two separate episodes. It was recently revealed that Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and his FBI crew will go bowling while seeking to close a case.
Spoilers said that fans will see Agent Abbott's (Rockmond Dunbar) team to take on the ten-pins in either "Orange Blossom Ice Cream" or "The Graybar Hotel" episodes.
"Nothing But Blue Skies" is the title of the pilot episode, where fans will see the return of Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney), Cho (Tim Kang), Agent Michelle Vega (Josie Loren), and Abott.
In the second episode, Agent Jane will work on "The Graybar Hotel" case and will go overseas to work with the CIA where he will cross paths with an old criminal.
"The Mentalist" however, is not slated to appear in CBS' schedule this coming fall. According to reports, the series will be airing during the mid-season hiatus.
Actor Tim Kang (Cho) said the premiere episode will air in early 2015. "I want to say January, but you never know," the actor added.
