Ms. Spears is now single. Her representative has confirmed her cryptic social media posts that the "Femme Fatale" singer has broken up with lawyer David Lucado.
Buzzfeed noted that Spears appeared to have gone through the cycle known to people who have broken up with their respective partners. She initially posted on Twitter on August 29, which read "Ahhhhh the single life!" She later shared a video on Instagram where a dolled-up Spears talked about having a "sh***y day" and finding someone who has hearts on their shoes.
Although it's been a few hours since we expect the singer to famously break down like she did when she was still in her unstable phase back in 2007, her recent break-up with Lucado spoke volumes about her now dealing issues like this at least like a grown-up in a social media generation. TMZ had claimed that there is video evidence of Lucado's cheating with another woman, and that the video was purchased by Spears' dad, who no doubt alerted the actress. It could be recalled that her father had been her guardian and manager of her estate, and obviously became a parent figure to her two children when she was unstable.
A source told E! News on how Britney is coping with the break-up that she had initiated, and said, "She is heartbroken. She is in Vegas. But she will get through it. She's a strong girl and he was never right for her."
Just last year, Spears and Lucado were romantically linked following the ending of her engagement to former agent Jason Trawick. Her relationship with Trawick was instrumental to her treatment, and became a co-conservator along her dad while Britney was on the road to mental recovery. Huffington Post said she got married twice, once, briefly, to childhood friend Jason Alexander in Las Vegas, and to back-up dancer Kevin Federline. Her sons Sean and Jayden were the fruit of her marriage to Federline, who is now married to Victoria Prince, a former volleyball player.
