At the end of "The Amazing Spider-Man," fans braced themselves with the loss of Gwen Stacy and the heartbreak that it caused the web-slinging hero. But despite the sorrowful event, talks have surfaced that in the next installment of the franchise, fans will be entertained with the introduction of Mary Jane Watson into the story, as of course Peter Parker's forever love.
MoviePilot speculated that the actresses who could be playing Mary Jane Watson are Shailene Woodley of the "Divergent," Deborah Ann Woll of "True Blood," and oddly, Emma Stone, who played Gwen Stacy on the first two movies, has been coyly giving hints that she may still be appearing in the third installment.
And it does seem to be a big probability that Emma will be beckoned to return to the cast. Rumors have pointed to the villain cast for "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" may include Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Mysterio, Kraven the Hunter or Chameleon. From a report by Hallels, if Chameleon is set to be part of the story, then the chances of Emma rejoining the cast is a bigger reality as she may appear as a clone or a camouflage that could distraught Spiderman along the way.
Meanwhile it is said that the four-year wait for Sony to release the third Spider-Man movie is their response to the highly speculated Spider-Man spin-offs that are deemed to be "Sinister Six," "Venom Carnage" and a female superhero movie, all to be released sometime 2016 to 2017.
Moreover, Christian Post reveals that "The Amazing Spider-Man" fans will still be happy to hear that Andrew Garfield will be playing Peter Parker and Spider-Man for the third time; however, there is still no word if he will be appearing on all of the spinoff movies set to show before "The Amazing Spider-Man 3."
"The Amazing Spider-Man 3" is scheduled for release sometime in 2018.
