The highly anticipated book four of the animated series "Avatar: Legend of Korra" is rumored to be released in January 2015.

Many fans speculate that the fourth installment of the series will be out in January as the previous season's artbooks and the next season's premiere happened simultaneously, and the Book 3 Artbook is to be released in January.

In the San Diego Comic-Con, series creator and writer Bryan Konietko announced that the Book 4 will be the last of the series. This made a lot of fans believe that it will be released before summer of 2015.

Meanwhile, fans of "Legend of Korra" have something to celebrate as the South Korean studio Mir, that is responsible for the action animation series, has announced its future partnership with Dreamworks.

Last August 29, it was announced that the two studios are partnering for a 78-episode animation deal. The news left fans wondering not only about what "Legend of Korra Book 4" will entail, but also whether they can expect a whole new "Avatar" installment.

According to a report by the Korea Herald, "Studio Mir, a South Korean animation studio, has signed a deal with DreamWorks Animation to produce up to four TV cartoon series over the next four years. The Korean studio, known for the 2-D martial arts fantasy TV animation 'The Legend of Korra,' said Thursday that it would work together with the Hollywood animation behemoth in planning and producing the series, each with 78 episodes."

Meanwhile, series creator Michael Dante DiMartino previously confirmed the animation's Book 4, but the theme and the official release date of the final season. "All the pre-production is done and Studio Mir is hard at work on the animation. So this was a disappointing development for sure but as long as you all are able to see the show in some capacity, I'm grateful," a part of his post reads.

Many fans speculate that the upcoming final season will follow "Avatar: The Last Airbender," with greater focus on the "Fire nation." There are also speculations that the final book will be entitled "Balance," however, no official announcement has been made.

According to ToonZone, Studio Mir was founded in 2011 and handled several productions including the "Avatar" sequel series, "The Legend of Korra" and the fourth season of "The Boondocks." Founder Jae Myung Yoo worked as the animation director for Nickelodeon's "Avatar: The Last Airbender."
