Teresa Giudice is almost certainly going to jail. Her sentencing date is September 23- less than three weeks from now- and both she and her husband, Joe Giudice, are facing severe charges for committing tax fraud.
It seems Giudice thinks the judges will go easy on her, but defrauding the goverment is a major, major crime. And despite Giudice's status as a reality star and a mother, the judges will still most likely send her away. Here's what an alleged insider told Radar Online.
"Teresa is very positive that the United States Justice Department won't recommend that she go to jail either. She is very eager to review what prosecutors are asking for. Of course, the judge will have the final say."
KpopStarz also reports that Giudice visited a pyschic, who informed her that she was likely to avoid jail time. We'll go ahead and say that she's still likely to serve a little time, pyschic or no psychic.
Making matters much worse for Giudice is her position at Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," which is kaput. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Giudice is done at Bravo- they're letting her go in the wake of her upcoming sentencing date, and the firing is permanent. Even if she avoids jail time, or manages a very short stay in prison, she won't have a reality show waiting for her when she gets back.
Well, at least not one from Bravo.
To cash in on her last few weeks of fame (and freedom), Giudice has been making the rounds every chance she can get. The same piece from Radar Online reports that Giudice will be doing a press event for Fabellini wine, signing bottles at a swanky restaurant for a substantial fee.
"The eatery will be having Fabellini drink specials all night, and Teresa will be getting a percentage of those sales as well. She is desperately trying to make sure she can make as much money as possible, before the potential prison sentence she is facing."
